Payment Information

There is no reduction for Bank or Public holidays except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day which carry no charge. There is also no charge for the Christmas period when the nursery is closed for one week. Payment is required for all days booked regardless of attendance. Holiday discount is not available. Information about payment of the Nursery Education Grant is given out to parents prior to the child’s term of commencement at three years. The Two Year Education Grant is also available at the Nursery and more information about this and help with ways to pay nursery fees is given below and on our Nursery Fees document.

Fees are due on the 25th day of the month for the following month.

Help with the Cost of Nursery Fees

The Working Tax Credit will pay up to 70% of your childcare costs dependent upon your level of earnings. To apply you need to contact HM Revenue and Customs. Visit their website www.hmrc.gov.uk for contact details.

Childcare Vouchers are available from your employer up to the value of £243 per month and can be redeemed by us giving you the benefit of tax relief on that part of your earnings. We accept vouchers from all the major and local suppliers. Please ask us for more information.

For students and young parents Care to Learn gives financial support up to £5,000 per year for the cost of childcare and is aimed at teenage parents wanting to continue or return to their education or commence training. For more information visit: http://www.studentparents.org

All three and four year old children attending the nursery are eligible for the Nursery Education Grant (NEG) giving 11.5 free hours per week for 49 weeks of each calendar year commencing the term after their third birthday until they start school. For term time only bookings of 38 weeks per year 15 free hours per week applies. If you are in receipt of certain benefits you may be eligible for the NEG to commence from the term after your child’s turns two. The nursery can help with an application to the Council for the Two Year NEG.
